Wilde Hares Mission Statement
Our focus, as a guild, is to have fun playing the game and to help other
members. (Where some guilds advertise being "friendly and helpful" only to turn out to
be neither, we really ARE friendly and helpful.) We aren't necessarily an "end-game
progression" oriented guild, meaning we do not necessarily focus on getting the guild
into the 'end-game' dungeons. We do, however, run raids and instances and will help
those members who wish to do so. We welcome all players of any level who want a
comfortable, helpful place to be while they level their characters. We welcome any and
all player alts, as well, since many of our guild members have multiple alts. We also
encourage members to develop contacts with friendly members of other guilds. We are
not in competition with other guilds so have no problem with helping players from other
guilds.
Since we are a small guild, we do not have vast financial resources so making
money is up to the individual player, through profession skills and selling collected
items. Members are encouraged to help each other through bartering of skills for skills or
items for items, meaning if you need something that another member might have, you
work out between the two of you what you will trade (barter) for their
service/skill/materials.
Guild rank is based on character level and how active the player is.
New members will be given the rank of Recruit during a
probationary ("Getting to know you") stage. At the end
of the probationary period, the member will be promoted to
the rank appropriate to their level. We have a
limited number of Officers and being promoted to Officer involves a vote between the
GM and the current Officers. Also, a player who has not been on for more than two
months will be dropped from the guild unless the absence is explained in advance to an
officer and/or the GM.
One last note: If, at any time, you decide you no longer wish to be in the guild, you
are free to leave. There will be no hard feelings towards you (unless you've been a
complete jackass somehow) and we will continue to treat you as a friend, regardless of
which guild you decide to join. In other words, you will be "stuck" with us one way or
another, unless or until you shoo us away with a stick.
...
Authenticators:
We are asking that
all guild members get an authenticator from Blizzard, to
protect not only your account from theft but to protect
our guild bank, as well. If you wish to have more
access to the materials in the guild bank (ie/ being a
higher ranking member), we will require that you have
one before you are promoted to any rank higher than
Senior (lvl 50–60)
Guild Code of
Conduct:
We expect all guild
members to honor and respect each other and other
guilds. When you join this guild, you represent us
wherever you go. Respect others as you expect to be
respected (remember the Golden Rule?). Your integrity
and actions directly reflect onto this guild.
Inappropriate conduct with other guild members and the
Bladefist community at large will not be permitted and
is grounds for censure or dismissal. We will not
tolerate malicious, hurtful behavior or speech in guild
chat, party chat, trade chat or on Vent. This kind of
behavior will lead to a GM and / or officer talking to
you and, possibly, censure (loss of rank) and /or
dismissal.
